Surface Fed Air System
This image was taken on the Seadart dive boat Halsewell II. It shows another surface fed air supply system located at the back of the boat and being used by a diver below. The system has two compressed air tanks and associated gauges in the boat with a surface feed hose running over the side and down to the diver with a regulator. As the air tanks remain in the boat and are not strapped to the diver, this gives him far more freedom to work on the seabed.
